Welcome to the JENMAN Photo of the Year competition, where we celebrate the amazing wildlife photos captured by travelers. This competition brings together photographers and travelers from around the world to showcase their unique perspectives, creative eye and technical skills. Each photograph submitted tells a story and captures a moment experienced in Africa.

2023 Entries are now open and the theme for this year is:
WILDLIFE

Vote for the Best Wildlife Photo

This is a people’s choice photo contest, where you get to be the judge! This competition will showcase the beauty and diversity of the animals, birds and insects in Africa, and now, it’s up to you to choose the best of the best. Take a moment to explore each image, appreciate the artistry and skill behind it, and cast your vote for the photograph that speaks to you the most.

Every vote matters and will determine the winner!

Competition Prize

The winner of the JENMAN Wildlife Photo of the Year Competition will receive:

A Sony ZV-E10 Camera with 16-50mm Lens
A handheld Gimbal stabilizer
30% discount on your next JENMAN safari package
Your photo will be featured in the 2025 JENMAN brochure! (check out the 2024 brochure)

Terms & Conditions

Only photographs captured between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2023 will be eligible for the 2023 competition
No watermark may be placed on the photo
Only photographs captured while travelling to Africa or Madagascar will be eligible for the competition
Camera, drone, gopro and/or smartphone photos will be accepted
Voting closes on the 31st of January 2024
The winner will be announced on Thursday, 29 February 2024
Prizes are non-refundable
If the prize is not clamed within 12 months, it will be forfeited
Only tour packages booked through JENMAN are eligible for the 30% discount prize
If we are unable to make contact with the winner within 14 days of the announcement, the prize will automatically go to the second most voted photograph
Photographs may only be entered by the person who captured them – you are not allowed to enter photographs taken by someone else
You may enter as many photos as you like
Because the winner is determined by public vote, anyone may enter the competition
All photographs entered may be used by JENMAN African Safaris for marketing purposes

I hereby irrevocably authorize JENMAN African Safaris to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute this photo. I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photograph. If under the age of 18 I will have consent from my parent or guardian to enter this competition.

Image processing may take up to 48 hours after which you will be emailed a link to your photo page. This page may be shared by you or anyone else in order to boost your votes!

Your photo page will be shared on the JENMAN African Safaris social media pages to help you get more votes!
