A 12-day luxury train tour from Victoria Falls to Pretoria, covering a distance of 2500 kilometers. Game viewing in Hwange National Park precedes this visit. Your itinerary continues with visits to Antelope Park and the World Heritage Site, Matobo National Park. Afterward, you’ll explore the Great Zimbabwe Monument. An exciting game drive awaits you at Kapama, and you’ll venture into the mountainous landscapes of the Kingdom of eSwatini. Moving forward, you’ll explore the capital of Mozambique, Maputo, and eventually link up with the Panorama Route, offering amazing game viewing opportunities in Kruger National Park. Your tour ends in Pretoria  as you traverse the scenic Drakensberg Mountains.

Meet at Victoria Falls Hotel. Luggage will be taken to the train by Shongololo staff. Enjoy a tour of the Victoria Falls with lunch.
Full-day game viewing in Hwange National Park with a packed lunch.
Full-day tour of Matobo National Park with lunch. Visit the grave of Cecil John Rhodes as well as bushmen caves with rock art.
Depart for a full day at Antelope Park with lunch. Optional extras include canoeing, game drives, horseback game viewing, elephant interaction, bird-watching cruises and so on.
Transfer to the Great Zimbabwe Monument for a tour with lunch.
Breakfast is served in the dining cars until 10:00. Day on board as the train traverses Limpopo. Dinner is served in the dining cars. Travel towards Hoedspruit. Dress: “Africa” Theme or Smart Casual
Game drive in Kapama Game Reserve followed by visit to the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre. Dinner is served in the dining cars. Dress: Formal.
Disembark at Mpaka. Transfer (±90 min) to Swazi Candles and visit Mantenga Cultural Village with lunch at Mantenga Lodge
City tour of Maputo, Mozambique, with lunch.
Full-day game viewing in the Kruger Park with lunch.
Full-day tour of historical areas Pilgrim’s Rest, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and Graskop with lunch. The Graskop viewing lift (own account) descends 51m down the face of the gorge into the forest below where wooden walkways and suspension bridges meander along a 600m trail through the indigenous forest with an interactive exhibit.
Breakfast is served in the dining cars. The train travels on the eastern line towards Middelburg, known as the “stainless steel capital of Africa”, and the harsh eMalahleni coal-mining area. The Dutch railway building company, NZASM, built the eastern line between Pretoria and Lourenço Marques (Maputo) from 1893 to 1895. Arrive at journey’s end at Rovos Rail Station, Pretoria.
