The main house features three opulent suites, while two charming cottages provide additional lodging options. The property also showcases an impressive array of spaces, including a cinema room, study, living and dining room. When it comes to culinary delights, Arijiju’s talented chefs draw inspiration from the region’s abundant resources, crafting delectable dishes that cater to the unique preferences of each guest.
Arijiju is a sustainable and conservation-focused property, blending contemporary and ancient architecture inspired by Ethiopian monasteries. The living roof and stone walls house expansive suites, a cinema room, study, living room, and dining room. There are five bedrooms in total, including three suites in the main house and two cottages. The bedrooms face east to capture the equatorial sunrise, with views of Mount Kenya in the distance. Each room features a king-sized bed, free-standing copper bathtub, indoor and outdoor shower, daybed, and fireplace. A rooftop constellation suite is available on request for a stunning view of the night sky. Arijiju’s chefs use local, farm-reared meat and vegetables from their organic kitchen garden to create healthy and delicious dishes tailored to guests’ preferences. Arijiju works with the Borana Conservancy for long-term conservation of the landscape, wildlife, and local communities.
