Highlights of the Tour

Chobe National Park

Renowned for its impressive, shifting migratory population of more than 50,000 elephants, Chobe National Park is situated in the far north-east of Botswana, bordered to the north by the mighty Chobe River. As the second-largest national park in Botswana, it has four distinct eco-systems: Serondela in the extreme northeast with fertile plains and thick forests, the Savuti Channel in the west, the Linyanti Swamps in the northwest, and the arid hinterland in between. This diversity of habitats provides a sanctuary to an astonishing array of African wildlife for this Botswana safari package. In addition to spotting Chobe’s great pachyderm herds, you are likely to spot lion, leopard, hyena, wild dog, impala, waterbuck, kudu, zebra, wildebeest giraffe, and warthog. The park is also famous for its wonderful riverboat safaris, making Chobe an essential destination for any avid Botswana safari enthusiast.

Kazuma Forest Reserve

Situated in the Chobe region of Botswana, the untouched Kazuma Forest Reserve offers visitors an authentic African wilderness safari experience. This impressive landscape stretches over thousands of hectares and features expansive grasslands, natural pans, and Mopane tree forests. It provides an ideal habitat for many wildlife species, including wildebeest, buffalo, antelope, sable, giraffe, zebra, lion, and leopard. Numerous herds of elephants also frequent this reserve as it is positioned in an elephant corridor. The nearby Kazuma Pans attract many birds making it a bird-watching paradise, boasting over 380 different species. Visitors on safari can enjoy a variety of activities including guided walks, fishing trips, and sunrise or sunset game drives on this epic safari package to Botswana.

Okavango Delta

As part of your Vic Falls, Chobe & Delta safari package you will have the opportunity to explore the spectacular natural environment that is the Okavango Delta. This pristine safari destination in Botswana supports large herds of elephant, antelope and buffalo, as well as hippopotamus, giraffe, crocodile, lion, cheetah, leopard, wildebeest, rhinoceros, zebra, baboon and countless others. The birdlife in the Okavango Delta is also spectacular.

Khwai River Area

The Khwai region of the Okavango Delta lies along the northern boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve. This unfenced boundary allows wildlife to move freely between the woodlands in the wet season when water is plentiful and back to the permanent rivers and lagoons of the Delta in the dry season. The Khwai River safari area offers the same wildlife experience as the reserve with the added advantage of being a private concession in Botswana, allowing for walking safaris and night drives.

Greater Moremi Game Reserve

Situated in the east of the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve is truly one of the most beautiful wildlife reserves in Africa. It covers more than 4,871 square kilometers of pristine Botswana wilderness, and the varied terrain includes savannah, winding waterways, and dense forest. This diverse ecosystem supports an incredibly wide spectrum of wildlife, ranging from large herds of buffalo, wildebeest, and zebra, to the rare sitatunga and lechwe antelope, lion, cheetah, and packs of wild dog in the open grasslands. The birdlife is prolific and includes most of the 550 bird species recorded on Botswana’s national bird list. A range of luxury Botswana safari lodges in the reserve offer visitors the perfect base to experience this corner of paradise.

Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls is often referred to as the greatest waterfall on earth. Stretching almost two kilometers across, it is a truly spectacular sight to see. Vic Falls borders Zambia and Zimbabwe and can be viewed from vast distances on both sides of the Zambezi River. Columns of spray can be felt from miles away as 546 million cubic meters of water per minute plummet over the edge during the wet season. Your Vic Falls hotel is central and conveniently situated for you to explore the town and visit the majestic falls. Vic Falls is an adventure-lovers playground!
