Chad grew up a bush baby, having bush braais with his cousins, running wild through the trees, going on hikes, and soaking up every moment outdoors. He’s always felt at home in nature. From camping in the Drakensberg and swimming in icy mountain rivers to the occasional wild boar hunt in Sodwana Bay and always watching out for crocodiles when swimming in the river or playing touchies on the beach, his childhood was full of adventure. He’d fish on the Wild Coast with a Coke can and some line, trying to catch whatever might bite. As a coastal boy from Durban, the sea has always been his best friend (although he’ll admit Cape Town’s icy waters are a bit of a shock).
Nature grounds him, inspires him, and reminds him where he comes from.
