A tailormade safari is a private itinerary built only for your party on the dates you choose. A guided group safari joins you with other travelers on a fixed departure and a set route. Tailor-made safaris cost more per person but give you full control over your pace, lodges, and itinerary, whether that’s a self-drive route, a fully guided journey with a private driver, or a mix of both.

We recommend starting the planning process at least 3 months before travel, especially for peak season (roughly June to October) or for lodges with limited availability. Itineraries can be built faster if needed.
Tailor-made safaris can be arranged for solo travellers, couples, families or larger private groups. There is no set minimum, since every itinerary is designed around your own party.
International flights to Africa are typically not included and are booked separately. Internal flights between destinations, such as charter flights to remote camps, are usually built into the itinerary and quoted as part of the package.
A first draft itinerary is typically ready within 48 hours of sharing your ideas, with revisions until the plan is confirmed.
