Hwange National Park
When visiting Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park is a must-see. It is the country’s largest national park, covering more than 14,000 square kilometers. The park is located approximately 1-2 hours from Victoria Falls, depending on the entry gate used or the camp where you are staying. With over 400 bird species and more than a hundred mammals, Hwange National Park offers some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in Africa. The optimal time to visit is during the dry season from July to October, when animals gather around the waterholes and pans.
Moremi National Park
The central and eastern parts of the Okavango Delta are protected by the Moremi Game Reserve. This includes not only the waterways but also the drier regions, offering a great diversity of wildlife and over 500 species of birds. No safari in Botswana is complete without a trip to Moremi as it has been described as one of the most beautiful wildlife reserves in Africa.
