The Nosy Be Diving & Wildlife Adventure offers the perfect balance of marine exploration and island discovery. Staying at Sakatia Lodge, you’ll enjoy an 8-dive package exploring colourful coral reefs and diverse marine life. The itinerary includes visits to Nosy Komba’s black lemurs, the protected marine reserve of Nosy Tanikely, and a choice between a Nosy Be Island Tour or Lokobe Special Reserve. Between dives and excursions, relax on pristine beaches, take in island sunsets, and experience Madagascar’s unique wildlife and culture.

Nosy Sakatia

Situated off the western coast of Nosy Be island, Nosy Sakatia is a tiny little picturesque island in Madagascar. This slice of paradise features pristine white-sand beaches lapped by impossibly blue waters. The island is also home to lush forests, an array of endemic wildlife and numerous viewpoints which offer stunning views over the pristine coastline scattered with small local villages. Visitors can look forward to snorkelling in the calm crystal-clear waters, scuba dive through the colourful coral reefs, and enjoy the peaceful laidback charm of this tropical hideaway. Other popular activities include: sailing, fishing, boating and orchid spotting.

Pre-Tour Information

Departure

When arriving in Antananarivo on the morning of day 1 of the tour, you will be picked up from the airport and embark on your tour. Should you arrive prior to day 1, pre-tour accommodation can be arranged and you will be picked up from your hotel on the morning of day 1 (Pick up time will be confirmed on arrival).

Visas

A visa is required to enter the territory of Madagascar and can easily be obtained upon arrival at the airport of Antananarivo with a validity of up to 60 days. Tourists staying for less than one month can purchase a visa for 115’000 Ariary (around 35 €). Paying with the exact amounts or small currency is advised. No photographs are required, however, please ensure that passports are valid for at least 6 months after the return date.

Travel Insurance

Please note that travel and cancellation insurance is mandatory for every guest travelling with Jenman Madagascar Safaris. All insurance is solely the responsibility of our guests. Please ensure you arrange your own insurance with protection for the full duration of your journey to cover personal injury, damage and loss of personal items including but not limited to camera equipment and other electronic items, medical expenses, repatriation expenses and loss of luggage, etc. Please speak to your travel agent if you require assistance

Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Sakatia Lodge. After settling into your accommodations, enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure, exploring and relaxing amidst the island’s serene surroundings.
Today marks the beginning of your exciting diving adventure. Over the next four days, you will take part in an 8-dive experience, with two dives each day. Throughout this journey, you will explore a range of vibrant and diverse underwater ecosystems, uncovering the many wonders that the ocean holds.
After breakfast, embark on a unique adventure through nature at Nosy Komba and Nosy Tanikely. “The Island of the Lemurs” Nosy Komba is a volcanic island famous for its rich biodiversity, including the rare black lemurs that inhabit its forests. Nosy Tanikely, is a protected marine reserve renowned for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant coral reefs. This small island is a paradise for snorkelers and divers, offering an underwater world teeming with colorful fish, sea turtles, and even rays.
Today you will have the opportunity to set off for a Half Day Nosy Be Island Tour or Full day Tour Lokobe Reserve Tour. Visit Hell Ville, Nosy Be’s capital, which sits at the island’s southern tip. After lunch at a local restaurant, head up to Mont Passot, an extinct volcano offering stunning views of the Mozambique Channel. Surrounded by eight sacred crater lakes, home to unique freshwater fish, it’s a perfect spot to enjoy an unforgettable sunset. Or visit the Lokobe National Park, Nosy Be’s last protected primitive forest, home to endemic medicinal plants, ancient trees, and species like lemurs (Macaco and Lepilemur), reptiles, chameleons, insects, and tropical birds.
