Highlights of the Tour

Antananarivo

Antananarivo, affectionately called “Tana,” is Madagascar’s lively capital. It is the primary arrival and departure hub for most visitors to the island. The city offers excellent opportunities to delve into Madagascar’s history, with attractions like the Queen’s Palace and the Royal Hills of Ambohimanga, which can be explored on a cycling tour.

Montagne d’Ambre National Park

Montagne D’ambre National Park, also known as Amber Mountain National Park, is a lush and pristine nature reserve nestled in the north of Madagascar. Boasting a diverse range of flora and fauna, the park is renowned for its unique ecosystems, including dense rainforests, cascading waterfalls and volcanic lakes. Visitors can explore its network of well-maintained trails, leading to panoramic viewpoints and the chance to encounter rare species such as lemurs, chameleons and a variety of colourful birds.

Ankarana National Park

Situated in the north of Madagascar, Ankarana National Park is a captivating natural wonder renowned for its unique limestone formations known as tsingy. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a surreal landscape of towering limestone pinnacles, deep canyons and lush forests, where lemurs, chameleons, and endemic plant species thrive. Adventure enthusiasts can also explore the park’s network of trails.

Nosy Be

Nosy Be is an enchanting island off the northwest coast of Madagascar. Its pristine beaches, turquoise waters and vibrant coral reefs are an open invitation for exploration and activities like snorkelling and diving. Nosy Be is also often billed as the ‘Ile aux Parfums’ and is a centre for the production of perfume essence from the ylang-ylang tree. Other goodies to discover on the markets include sugar cane, coffee, vanilla, pepper, saffron and other spices.
